Equatorial Guinea is having the number of its people desiring an Indian visa increasing day by day. One of the major reasons behind this is the snow-clad mountainous areas of this culturally rich land where solace and warm welcome are bestowed upon foreign visitors without any partiality.

The relations between India and Equatorial Guinea have been since before the latter gained independence in 1968. Bilateral trade between these two countries increased from US$ 4.87 million in 2006-07 to $764.39 million in 2014-15.
These days, both of these countries have a cordial and warm relationship with each other. In 2016 January, it was found that nearly 300 Indians live in Equatorial Guinea. They all live in Malabo. Most of them are employed by hotels and departmental stores. Some Indians also worked in oil companies.
